This is my submission for the design team. I usually find it difficult to do a guy card. This one was actually kind of fun for me.
Heres how I made it...

Start with a good qualtiy card base. I covered it with "Graphic 49" brand paper (stripe).    I cut the shirt collar from the Cricut cartridge "My Community" (the dad on page 33) I cut the tie from "Graphic 49" paper also. All from the same cut, just cut multiples..works great. I then adhered it. Place a couple small buttons on the collar, I used "Basic Gray" buttons.
I cut the shirt pocket by tracing around my gift card, making it 1/4" larger than the card. Cutting off the edges to make the shape. Pop dot the underside edges. Place the gift card, and ink all the edges. ( oops I did the shirt before I adhered it)
The inside sentiment is computer generated,   For the corners, I used my "Cricut George Cartridge" cut out 2- 1" squares, cut them in half, and adhered them. I used my ATG gun for all adhering, I just love it!!!

Its recipe week at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com! We had to use 1 button, 2 designer papers, and 3 flowers. My recipe is here

Start with a heavy cardstock for base, Pick 2 papers, I used a double sided paper. Cut to 1/8 of an inch of card base. I then cut that paper to 3/4 and 1/4. The sentiment is computer generated. I then punched the top yellow with Martha Stewart "string lace" punch. I then adhered the bottom paper using my ATG gun. The stems are ribbon. I found in a Chicago store last year. My favorite ribbon ever!!!
The flowers go on next. I used Recollections "Boutique Fleur" and adhered them by using a pop dot. I then cut a sheer ribbon, laced it through the button, tied a knot and bow, adhered it to the top of the card, then adhered the entire top piece to the card stock.

"Flowers" is the theme this week at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com This is my design team entry.
I have never made these flowers, but just fell in love with them. This is my first attempt. Its very simple, just takes a few minutes. I started with a circle that I cut from my Cricut Cartridge "George". I then used my ATG gun, running it over the entire circle on one side. I cut a ribbon for the center. You will just have to guess..Dont worry about being to short, you can add to it, no problem. Start by adhering one end to the center of the circle. Twist and roll until you have a little center bud. Then adhere the end of it flat to the circle. Then cut a long ribbon strip (purple) and adhere the end down, start to twist and wrap around the bud. Now what I did here was wrap it tight, around the circle, until the very last outer edge, where I folded and wrapped it much more loose, to give the bud a more open look. If you have a place or two that dont seem to stick to the paper circle, then just take a little of the gluestick glue on a tool, and tuck it all under...so easy! Tuck the last little piece under the circle, and run the ATG gun over it so it stays put, Wella...flower. The floral stem was cut from the Cricut Cartridge "Cindy Loo" I adhered them down with a thick glue stick, The purple outer ribbon I used was about 2" wide. I cut the words out of the Cricut Cartridge "Stamped" using the shadow and regular features. I made a tag from the Cricut Cartridge Plantain. Tied it off with a sheer white ribbon. I used a border punch to finish off the edges of my purple bag. Well, that was fun. I love the way it turned out,. Let me know if you try it. I would love to see what you make.

this week. Here is my entry for the design team. I wanted to try a simple look, more contemporary than I usually do. A little lack of time this week, with a very sick grandbaby in the hospital, but this is it. Thanks for stopping by!
I started with a 5.25x5.25 heavy white cardstock. Embossed the "feel better" with Cuttlebug. I stamped over the embossed part, then sanded it with a fine grain sandpaper. I chose a coordinating ribbon, adhered it. I really cheated this week..The flowers are quilled, Pre made! Stick it on, and a card is made! The simple look.

This week is about "Mothers" at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com This is my design team entry. It is Tulip Time in our town in May, which happens to also be Mothers Day, so I decided to do a Tulip themed card.

I love the vintage feel of this simple card..The bunnies were cut from a vintage card, then coated with crackles, and popdotted. The ribbon was folded in half, adhered, and topped with a button. The bottom border was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch, and placed on top, covered with a ribbon, and tied.

Its all about "Buttons" at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com This is my design team entry. It was inspired by a very special person that I miss dearly....my mom.
for this card (5x7) use a good quality heavy cardstock. I cut the hat from the Cricut cartridge "Heritage" with a shadow. The shape under the hat was cut from Cricut also. The paper under the Shape was border punched with Martha Stewart Doily lace punch. The buttons are mixed from vintage to new. I placed a feather under the hat. The flowers are from Recollections. Various other laces and scraps were used to decorate also. I added a hat pin with pearl to finish. I also made a box for the card using my Ultimate crafter tool. (first time) I think I will be using it again. It gives such a nice presentation for a card.

"ALL ABOUT BOYS" this week at www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com !! I'm not to quick at making boy/guy cards, so I had to think on this one! And of course, I needed 3 girl cards this week! LOL

Start with a good heavy quality card base. Cover with the brown dot paper found at HL. I cut it about 3/4 to the bottom. I then cut the train from the Cricut cartridge "New Arrival" with a shadow, and 2 layers. The "BOY" is cut from the Cricut cartridge, "Story Book" Punch the train border from Martha Stewart on coordinating papers, and cut 2 additional layers of coordinating paper, for under the train. Cut ribbon to match and get ready to put it together!
I used mini baby safety pins in blue to use as the wheel covers! Ribbon to tie the cars together, and a ribbon at the bottom to break up the different papers. So easy, but yet fun to give! All my papers this week are from HL. I used a total of 5 different papers, not including the card base!

This week the project was all about girls..
I made this for a friend of mine that I met while at a training for Provo Craft in Chicago. We went to this awesome store called Urban Restoration. They sell items that have been salvaged from old buildings being torn down. There was a chandelier that was her favorite...however no way to carry it back to Dallas on the Jet...so it got left behind...
As soon as I saw this paper I knew it had to go to her. The chandelier was cut from the Cricut Cartridge "Summer in Paris" and pop dotted. Embellished with a lot of blingy crystals to make it all girly girl. The inside is 2 separate rub ons.

"Valentines" week at WWW.MYSHERICRAFTS.COM our project
this week for the design team was to create something Valentine related. I st arted with an ivory cardstock for my base. Covered it with the yellow background paper, cut 2 borders out from the Cricut Cartridge Planitn. Ink the edges, place them on the yellow dotted paper. Cut a ribbon from coordinating material, this is a velvet ribbon. The heart was cut from the Cricut cartridge "Stamping" I wrapped a sm. pc of thin yarn ribbon around the heart. The love is a rub on transfer. Now I place the yellow dot paper onto the cardstock, with my ATG gun, and complete the inside of the card as well. I chose a simple card this week, I ran short on time. It was my birthday today,. So I had plenty to keep me busy.

This card started off with a black cardstock base. I covered it with deep ivory, that was embossed with swiss dots, by Cuttlebug. I made the border under by punching 2 sides of paper with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch. I cut 2 pc's of paper from coordinating papers, for the blocks. The ivory flower was cut, then I inked the inside of the Cuttlebug folder with Tim Holtz distress ink in antique linen, and continued to run through the embosser. This technique colors the embossing part only. An antique button was applied to the center of the flower, with a ribbon tied in the center. The heart and the "LOVE" were cut from the Cricut cartridge Sweethearts, using the shadow and normal features.

All are adhered using the ATG, and Pop dots for the sentiment, and heart.

CHINESE NEW YEAR CARD FOR "MY SHERI CRAFTS"http://myshericrafts.blogspot.com/ This is my design team entry for this week at My Sheri Crafts. I was stretched a bit on this one, does it show? I downloaded the center image, and place on cardstock. I attached 3 different sized ribbons with my ATG. The smaller circles were cut from the Cricut Cartridge "GEORGE" using the center point around the computer generated sentiments. The circles were then embossed using a cuttlebug folder. Ribbon was stapled to a small piece of cardstock, and then popdotted. The metal circle was wound around the circle paper and adhered with my ATG. The edges were inked and all place on pink cardstock, cut to a 5x5 size.

This week at My Sheri Crafts its "Winter"

My project is a magnetic board. I covered it with a temporary 12x12 sheet, that is removable. Below are the instructions on how I made it! Very quick, simple and very inexpensive to make!

I started with a 12x12 paper that had snowflakes on it. Cut out 2 snowmen from the Cricut cartridge "Winter Wonderland" shadow cut them, and layers. Cut out additional snowflakes, ink the edges and pop dot. Cut out the sentiment, and layers. I also used shimmer mist on parts of the sentiment to match the snowmen paper. Dry with a Marvy heat tool, or air dry.
Ink the edges for more dimension if desired. Adhere all to the 12x12 sheet. ( I pop-dotted them for dimension) Use magnetic tape by XYRON on the back of the paper. Then place on the magnetic board! Very simple! By using the magnetic tape, this can be changed frequently instead of making a permanent item. Thanks for stopping by!

Our project this week for the design team at www.MySheriCrafts.com is "PARTIES"

This is a 5x5 card. Start with a good heavy card base. Cover with paper choice. I cut the center circle's from Cricut George and Basic Shapes. Print the invite on one layer, then cover with velum if desired. The branches are punched from Martha Stewart branch punch. (an all time favorite)
Place branches around the circle. ( I went around the edge with my ATG gun, to adhere branches.
Place small buttons randomly. Place a bow and ink edges if needed. Very quick project if you have a lot of guests to invite.

My Sheri Crafts Design Team project this week was "Hannukah" I chose to make a 5x7 card.
Starting with a a card base of ivory, I chose a dark toned ivory paper to cover the card base. I used a dauber with powder puff chalking ink (amaretto) to highlight all but the center of the card. The Star of David was cut from Cricut Designers Calendar. The Menorah was also cut from DC, however cut 2, one for base and candles, and the other for the gold base. (cut the candles off the gold one) I embossed the gold base with my Cuttlebug. The candle flames were inked with amaretto, and then sprayed with gold glow Smooch Mist (rubbed in with my fingers to blend)
"Hanukkah" was cut from DC also, and adhered with Zig 2 Way glue pen. Pop dot the Menorah and place on card. Spray gold glow Smooch Mist around the Star, above the candles to give a glow, and rub in with fingers. Adhere a simple ribbon of choice, and ink the edges, going darker at the corners.

This is 2 separate cards, 3 1/2 x 9 The tree is cut from heavy metalic paper using the Cricut cartridge Lyrical letters, Cut in half and placed on the edge of the card base. The sentiment is cut from a Cricut cartridge also. The black jewels are glued on and placed randomly.

The theme for this weeks My Sheri Crafts design team was "Hello"

This was a very card to make. 30 min or less!! Around Holidays, the cards get simple in my life!
Start with a good cardstock, or card base. Cover with coordinating paper, This choice is from Laura Ashley. I cut the "tag" from Cricut "Fabulous Finds" and the "hello" is from Cricut " Lyrical Letters"
Run your choice of thin ribbon or fabric through the tag opening and adhere all to the card. Very simple, but elegant. I have found that even the simple card can look great with just the right paper choices.

Its thanksgiving this week at MY SHERI CRAFTS!

My card shows a little of my sense of humor!

Start with a good quality cardstock for base. Choose a ribbon and stick it to the patterned paper, in the corner, and then cover the card base. (I used wood look at the bottom to mimic my floor at home) The stove is cut from the Cricut cartridge
"From My Kitchen" and pop dot the oven door. The turkey was cut from the Cricut cartridge "Animal Kingdom" with feathers between the layers, add the eyes next. Slip him in the oven like he's hiding. Cut the sentiment. I used "Holiday Cakes" A vintage button from my husbands family has a ribbon tied through it, and was stuck on the ribbon. The sentiment on the oven door tag, computer generated, and tied off. Ink the edges with a color in the card. Finish the inside off as desired.

The design team at My Sheri Crafts was given our project for this week, Veterans/Troops
. This week was quite simple for me and inspirational. I have put off working on my sons book for a while now. Time to play catch up. The images on this layout were cuts from Cricut Stand and Salute, and I'm not sure what the Iraq cut is from...The paper was found in a military stack, 12x12 paper

The guys in the photos are my sons platoon!
We prayed for them daily. They almost all made it home! My son can be seen best in the layout on the right. He is the middle guy on the top right. The lower photo, he is the 3rd from the left.
I would like to encourage you to send someone that is a Vet, or a current member of the Military, a card or package this Christmas! They sacrifice so much, including being alone on holidays.

Halloween week at MY SHERI CRAFTS
Use a good quality black card stock. Cut into 5.25 square. Trimmed the edge with coordinating gray paper. Haunted house is embossing folder from Provo Craft. The lantern was cut from Cricut Mini Monsters, as was the inside of the card, sentiment and web.
Pumpkin, Ghost, and cat are all buttons from HL and the back was trimmed flat, and adhered with foam pop dots. The card was then sprayed with black foil Smooch Mist. Edges inked with white ink.

"Stitching" The theme for us this week at "My Sheri Crafts"
So I got out my sewing machine, dusted it off. After moving and being in storage much to my surprise, it still worked.

I started off with a beige card base, covered it in 2 pieces of quality cardstock. Do not adhere it yet. Choose 3 different colors of cardstock and make different sized stitches top to bottom of each color. Cut at different widths.
Cut those stitched papers to fit the top section. Now adhere the bottom to the card base. Then take each strip of choice and adhere to the top paper. Adhere a coordinating ribbon in the middle of the papers (hides the edges of the stitching) My tag is cut from the Cricut cartridge Winter Woodland. (1 cut at 2 1/2 and 1 at 2 1/4) Sentiment is stamped from Stampabilities (Holiday Sentiments) Evergreen punch is from Martha Stewart. Buttons have ribbons tied in the center and adhered. The sleigh is also a button with the hook cut off the back, and adhere with a good thick glue. This card takes a while to make, but I think it turned out nice!

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH!

Losing my mom to breast cancer last year at the age of 67 makes me really stop and remember to do the exams each month and get the mammogram! Please do it too!

This weeks project for My Sheri Crafts Design team was
"Thinking of You"

I like to do easy quick cards, that are clean, simple and basic sometimes. This one fits into that category just perfect, and still looks great.

Start with a good quality card-stock to cover front of card base.
Cut 1 piece of coordinating paper for the 4 boxes. Then fold it in half, and then again in half lengthwise, cut on the folds. Adhere it. Cut a circle from the George cartridge, and then the doily bird cut from Cindy Loo. Pop it with foam pop dots.
Cut another piece of coordinating paper to place along the bottom edge. Embellish with a bow. Rub on transfer for sentiment is by Making Memories (wordage expressions)

Finish off the inside of card with scrap papers from the front of the card.

Buy a pull top can-(many fruits and soups now have the pull top) Open the bottom with a safety can opener. (Just be sure to use a safety opener so there are no sharp edges!) Remove the contents. Wash the can and remove the label. Add your contents to the can, and glue the bottom back on. I used gorilla super glue. Then you just need to wrap it your choice of papers and embellies!
Adhere to can, and add ribbon and embellies to the pull tab. This can could be stuffed with baby booties, pacifiers, small toys, a sleeper rolled up, Dollar bills for the new mommy and baby!

Start with a quality cardstock for base, cover front with your choice of paper. Cut a base circle to fit in the center of card. Then cut a circle out of paper for next layer. I topped with another layer of Velum. Adhere all to that order. Place ribbon of your choice down the side of card, and tuck under the paper covering the card base.
Hand cut is from the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge, with a feather glued to it. Miss you sentiment is also from Sentimentals. Button embellishment is a vintage button from my DH family. Edges inked with Cats Eye.
